This advanced, fully-programmable metal detector will help you find treasures that have been both lost and missed by the generations before you. The Time Ranger is a Bounty Hunter product at its best and is considered by some to be the ultimate treasure hunting tool. Like many Bounty Hunter products, this detector features both the three-tone audio discrimination and a submersible, 8” searchcoil. But what makes the Time Ranger the best is its four-level iron discrimination, a special “sniff mode,” and the advanced ground monitor. The following information comes from our own experience with the Time Ranger, and is meant to help those who are thinking about getting one for the first time as well as those who already have one.
The model we’re featuring comes standard with an 8” open-face, waterproof coil. Both larger and smaller coils are available in the accessories area for this metal detector, but the 8” is a great place to start. This searchcoil is versatile and deep-seeking, making it effective for any type of detecting. Because it is waterproof, you can submerge this coil into water without any adverse affect on the operation of the detector – this is perfect for hunting in the shallow waters of beaches and rivers as well as on land!
The Time Ranger also features the Three-Tone Audio Discrimination, which will alert you to different treasures with different tones. Because it has a ¼” headphone jack on the control panel, almost any stereo-type headphone-set can be used with the Time Ranger. But this is only where the features begin! The results of your treasure hunting will be shown on an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen where you’ll see the “Sniff Mode,” “All Metal Smart Trac Mode,” and “Disc Target” (Discrimination Target) among others. All of these modes are completely programmable for your specific treasure-hunting needs.
We could go on and on about the amazing, programmable features of the Time Ranger, but at the end of the day what make’s us happiest about this metal detector is that it responds to you – not the other way around.
