The model we’re featuring comes standard with a 10.5” searchcoil. It’s versatile and deep-seeking, making it effective for any type of detecting. Because the 1280-X was meant to be submersible, you can take this coil and the entire detector into 250 feet of water without any adverse affects – this means the possibilities of finding treasure are almost limitless!
Fisher likes to boast of the “turn on and go” operation of the 1280-X, and we think they’re completely valid for doing so. This detector offers all the features an advanced treasure hunter could want but is easy-to-use right out of the box. It functions in either salt or fresh water as well as on land and uses a patented quartz-crystal circuitry to complete 75 hours of operation. The control box features adjustable knobs for sensitivity, discrimination and volume, and converts to a belt mount for a more hands-free approach.
